St. George's Church, Deal, with stars

Transiently permanent has added a photo to the pool:

St. George's Church, Deal, with stars

P2232356

Nelson was a regular visitor during the Napolenic wars, and his son is buried in the churchyard.

The window is a 1950 replacement for the previous (also non-original) one, which had been shattered by a bomb in 1942. There is one surviving part of the 1867 window depicting faith, hope and charity...the word "hope" alone survives.
