This picture was made at the 2012 Thunder over Louisville festival in Kenturcky. Thunder over Louisville is the opening weekend for the Kentucky Derby Festival and was a tremendous amount of fun. It was one of the best fireworks displays that I have ever seen.
I can't wait to go back again next year. I was on the lawn next to the river (yes, it was very cold). It wa a popula spot for photographers. I think we all got some great pictures.
The bridge in the foreground is the 2nd street bridge. The bridge was also used as platform to launch fireworks in addition to the barges in the middle of the Ohio river.
