Phill Monson has added a photo to the pool:
I call this Hallucinations for two reasons: 1) I was listening to the Angels & Airwaves song Hallucinations while taking night shots (I will not confirm or deny any air guitar playing on my part) and 2) I was seriously having hallucinations as I stood out there alone, in the middle of no-where, in the pitch dark. I have an over-active imagination to say the least. After watching the Blair Witch Project in my youth, I didn’t go into the woods by myself for a year and still get freaked out. A slight gust of wind might as well have been a monster for all I knew. It’s freaky being alone out in the wild in a remote part of Southern Utah, hope the effort was worth it. Please do not compare my night shots with the amazing images of Brad Goldpaint- he is the master, I am but the learner.
This was about a 45 sec exp with an iso of 3200 then ran through lightroom to reduce noise caused by the high ISO. During the exp, I used my LED headlamp to "paint" light on the arch by bouncing it off the ground so as to hit the arch directly. I switched between the regular LED light and the red night vision light to give a warmer glow to the rock. Thanks for looking.
