UFOs and light pollution

UFOs and light pollution

Temperatures dropped again, and we decided that we would go up to our favorite spot between Oshawa and Port Perry in southern Ontario. The first time we ever went there, they had a raised wooden platform and a bench we'd sit on and watch the city lights of Durham Region, but it was still dark enough we could see the stars. They have since torn down that bench and replaced it with this new barn. I think it's going to be a hall of some sort, and they have huge wooden barn doors on sliders that open up so you have a view of the city. It's pretty neat and we both agree it would be such a nice place to have a wedding reception.

In the total 10 minutes we were outside of the car (because it was literally that cold), I managed to get this shot before retreating to warmth and my hot chocolate. You can see the remnants of a plane passing by...I wish it would have spanned the entire frame, but I was too late in setting up and was too cold to wait for another to come by.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
