Canon 550D with EF 24-70mm/f2.8L lens set at 70mm. ISO 400, f6.3. Night shot. Blending of three images at 30, 8 and 4 seconds to tone down the washed out snow at center right. Cropped to 16:10 widescreen to get the "snow shore" at lower-left.
This was taken on the Hwy 40 bridge which crosses a creek formed by a small dam on Island lake. Couldn't get the water falling becuase it was too dark there (very bottom of image) so instead concentrated on the unique lighting of the setted sun and a bright Mercury light (just off screen to the right). The subject itself (small pier) is not electrifying but the lighting is!
