Misty Lights - SANTIAGO EXPRESS

Lance Cunningham has added a photo to the pool:

Misty Lights - SANTIAGO EXPRESS

SANTIAGO EXPRESS at dock, Pier 400, Port Of Los Angeles, CA

Rain and clouds were starting to move out of the port area but there was still enough mist in the air to create a light curtain under the crane. They were finishing cargo ops and getting ready to sail the ship so there is a little softness in the ship/lines caused by ship movement. The crane boomed up right after this shot so I wasn't able to play around with my exposure. It is a balancing act between the desired effects of long exposures and the undesired affects of ship/lines movement. I am finding that I get much better reflection "sharpness" and detail with long (20-30s) exposures.

RAW file post-processed in Adobe Lightroom 3.6.
