The Night Sky

drivingback has added a photo to the pool:

The Night Sky

Esplanade rooftop being dwarfed by the vastness of the night sky. This photo was taken after the Earth Hour last March 31 so the usual light pollution in Marina Bay is not as obvious in this shot. I was initially shooting the dome for a 5 photo vertorama, trying to depict a diminutive Esplanade compared to the sky; but on the second shot the lights went out and I had to wait for an hour to be able to finish shooting, so i just sat at the "concrete bench" and some thoughts lingered on my mind:

How massive is the night sky?
How trivial are we compared to this great expanse?
How insignificant are we in the grand scheme of things?

But then again:

How much bigger is the Creator of the night sky?
How much immense is His love for us compared to the great expanse?
How much He knows every little detail of our lives that our significance should never be in doubt?

I guess that explains my fascination with the night sky. =)
