DustinWeberPhotography.Com has added a photo to the pool:
I've been wanting to get a shot of the Waterloo water tower with a lightning strike somewhere in the background.. or even in the foreground.. for a little while now. Last night looked like an amazing chance with severe thunderstorms and tornado watches throughout the night.
Unfortunately, there were almost no lightning strikes anywhere in the area that I wanted them to be. On the other hand, I'm still happy with this one. The high winds made the normally boring and obstructing trees look more like dabs of paint with the tower standing strong and clear. The stormy clouds gave the skies a purple color during this shot, and it changed colors throughout the evening.
20 second exposure. F/8 @ 195mm. Remotely triggered from the dinner table downstairs. :)
