m4barcelona has added a photo to the pool:
Nighttime long-exposure image of the Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, Istanbul.
This was taken with the camera on the ground, using a wide-angle lens. Five separate exposures were made of the lower half of the image, each six seconds long. These were then blended togther to selectively remove the tourists that were wandering around at the time. The result was then stitched with another photograph of the upper section to make the final image.
A full-size tripod might have been helpful here...
