ramrod24 has added a photo to the pool:
a 30 second exposure with 1 remote flash (SB900) set to half power and situated to the right and lower than the camera. the boat it a very tight space to do photography. It was trigger by the camera's inbuilt flash turned down to the lowest power and in commander mode.
the boat name boomerang was then written with a small red LED before the end of the exposure and after the initial flash.
the street lights have been blurred by the movement of the boat on it's mooring
