Up on Ramsdown with my canon (a camera, not a gun) and my pinhole (that's another camera). This is the pinhole capture. A better capture I'd say than the digital managed.

Numerous small spot fires burn on the west slopes of Bear and South Boulder peaks, with the lights of Boulder and Denver in the background. No damage was done to houses, although the potential for spread into the edges of the City of Boulder prompted numerous evacuations. The lights of houses can be seen on the ridge in front of the fire.

Hello everyone. It's been so long..
Was hanging around Marina Bay area just now for some fireworks shooting. Ended up this group of hobbists(teenagers and adults alike) attracted my attention even more. The runway lookalike on the ground were actually long tail of the kites with LED lightings. And the bright green lights on the top right of image were long green laser beams that made them looked like some form of creature from a Sci-fi movie.
Wish you all were here to witness this graceful moment.

Last week I was on a business trip at Mexico City . Although on a business trip there is normally no time to walk around and take pictures I travelled with my camera equipment hoping for something interesting to capture. I was surprised when I entered my hotel room . I never have had a room in the 37 th floor. The view from the hotel room was very nice and the first thing I did was to take out the camera and capture it.
This is what you see from 37t th floor in The Hotel Hyatt Regency.
Picture taken standing inside the room and shooting through the window.
The Hotel is absolutely recomandable not only because of the nice view.
Hope you like it.

...exactly - it's past 2am, and this is my first attempt at doing star trails. I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I know you should do this when the moon is not very full, however opportunity arose and i'm hoping to do this again when there's not much of a moon in the sky.
I set up in my front yard and let the interval timer go...until i got really tired and had to go to bed.
this is a combination of 333 images taken from 10:45pm to 1:43am (just under 3 hours) stacked together using StarStaX.
That's the big dipper and north star (polaris) that you see in there... as well as some plane trails and fireflies thrown in for good measure...
ISO was at 125
f/stop was 3.5
Exposure was 30 seconds each
i did a bit of light painting on the trees from time to time with a flashlight.
Once stacked it was brightened using Aperture.
Since this is my first time doing this, I really would appreciate some advice from any of the seasoned veterans out there.
